Bench and Banquette Coveting

How many of us have gotten a little excited when the waitress seated us at the booth table? I know I'm always pleased and I would get to enjoy it everyday if I had banquette seating in my own kitchen. Someday hopefully but for now I'll feed my urge by showing some favorites. I really love banquette seating in a eat-in kitchen. You see it much more often in eat-in kitchen areas rather than formal dining rooms but every once in a blue moon you will see it in the dining room as well. I prefer it in the kitchen because it's a much cozier space to relax in when you get up in the morning with your paper and coffee. Here are some of the best ones I've encountered thus far:

What do you think of banquettes and benches in the eating areas? Do you have one yourself? Let me know your thoughts on it!

I love banquette seating! I was considering doing this when starting planning on dining room re-do. The only dining room in house house is an eat in kitchen style. But our space is more rectangle and I still wanted to use my buffet so it didn't work.

BTW - I LOVE that parons bench..I was looking for the same one! But never came across one :(

I love it too! I just have a itty bitty apartment right now but I'm hoping one day I'll be able to incorporate a banquette into my eating area.

My husband built banquette seating in out 25 x 15 foot kitchen and where a table for 6 sat I now have a huge open space for walking through to the attatched office. The best thing is, we used a smaller table and we have fit 10 people at the table during a get togather and it was way more comfortable than the independant chairs ever were. It was very cozy.
