It' Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas!

Not only am I a house freak but I absolutely love movies and Christmas so when those two things come together I am one happy clam! In no specific order, this my top ten list of Christmas movies I highly suggest taking a gander at this merry season to warm your insides. So snuggle up with your favorite tea and some warm socks and enjoy!:

1.) A Charlie Brown Christmas: You just can't go wrong with this classic movie that has been around since the 1965. Charlie Brown reminds us of the true meaning of Christmas and makes us laugh smile in the process which is probably why it has stood the test of time. Great for kids and adults to see.

2.) A Christmas Story: This is my absolute favorite Christmas movie, I watch it year round. We can all remember wanting something so bad for Christmas it hurt! This is a must see for the holidays.

3.) Miracle On 34th Street (1994): While I'm a fan of both the original (1947) and the remake (1994) , I think the remake movie is more popular today than the first. Richard Attenborough is phenomenal as Santa Claus and this film being in colour brings a whole new perspective to the movie.

4.) Eight Crazy Nights: Not quite a Christmas movie but still in the holiday swing of things; this hilarious Adam Sandler movie is guaranteed to have you doing Santa worthy belly laughs within minutes.

5.) This Christmas: This movie was released in 2007 and I was surprised at how heart warming and fun it was. I'd say it's more on the adult side as far Christmas movies go but it tells a story a large dysfunctional family living in California at Christmas time. I would say it's definitely worth a watch!

6.) Elf: This movie is Will Ferrell doing what he does best. He is utterly hilarious as an overly enthusiastic elf named Buddy. I dare you not to laugh at this movie!

7.) The Muppet Christmas Carol: I have yet to meet another person who has actually seen this version of A Christmas Carol but this kid friendly version brings a whole new look to the classic story of Scrooge. It was a favorite of mine as a kid, I watched it every Christmas eve and I still do. It's full of music, laughter and lessons we can all enjoy.

8.) It's A Wonderful Life: Who could make a top Christmas movies list and not include this classic? It has everything a Christmas movie should and more. Even the most cold hearted people get misty at this tear jerker.

9.) National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation: One of the best movies ever made in my opinion. This crazy family has something we can all relate to whether it's a "colorful" uncle or in-laws that drives us nuts, there's something in it for everyone. I never get sick of this one and neither will you.

10.) Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer: This movie is from around the same time as A Charlie Brown Christmas and it's popularity has followed it right to the 21 century as well. Another classic story, I think this is an awesome one for kids because it really gives a great message about being different. Not to mention that it's just a fun watch for the Christmas season!

So what do you think of these? Any you agree or disagree with? Any I've left out that are you favorites? Let me know what you think!

Hi there! Nothing like a misty tear jerker. I'm always on the lookout for people writing about It's A Wonderful Life. I wrote a song called George Bailey, would love for you to take a listen via my website below or watch the video on youtube. Thanks and happy holidays!
