Home Heisted!

image

They’re loud, they’re flamboyant, they’re all around crazy but these two Scottish fellas do some impressive things when it comes to interior design. That said, for every room of theirs I love there is another one to go on the “yeck!” list. Even though a room may not be done in my particularly favorite style I certainly can still appreciate a beautiful designed room for what it is. The style Colin and Justin have is completely over the top and in your face but sometimes that’s just what a room needs. Besides being a little bit wall paper crazy there’s no denying these rooms are design at it’s best. Here’s my fave rooms from this dynamic duo:

-Snapshot Of The Week-

“I couldn’t talk as a kid because I stammered all the time, so I would just watch. I`m fascinated by human behavior. People surprise me all the time. And I love being able to morph into different characters.”

Western Contemporary Office Design Scheme

image

Hello all my lovelies! I have created a new design scheme for your inspiration today that I like to call the “Western Contemporary Office.” I think about designing office spaces a lot because I would really love to have one (if I ever get the extra room). I think they’re a lot of fun to design because you can get away with more since it’s just your personal work space and therefore is really only required to please you.  This is one I’ve been dreaming up since Fall began because I’ve really been digging the burnt orange look against the dark woody browns I see every time I look outside. It has a fairly contemporary “western” style flair to it but I’ve girled it up with hits of purple, some pretty accessories and soft plush lines in the seating. If I do ever get that extra space, my office would used be for interior designing so I like to plan it with that idea in mind by using items like the drafting table you see. For the lighting above the table I took the same three pendants and hung them at different heights for some visual interest and paired it with an unconventional bar stool seating. The cow hide rug works beautifully in this space and is my nod to the western influence. I also doubled up on the same storage system to create the impression of an entire wall of storage. (Designers need tons of space for storage!) I see this unit being broken up with all sort of interesting pieces amongst the scads of designer books and samples etc. Overall I wanted to keep the room simple and functional for everyday use. Hope you like!

This Pure Girl Moment Brought To You By Elie Saab Bridal

Elie Saab is one of my top three favorite designers. His designs leave me in awe because they are so feminine and elegant. Never have I wished more that I was wafer thin and dripping with excess cash. I’m going to have to do another post one day of his non-bridal collections as well but I thought it’d be fun to start with some gorgeous white gowns meant for the big day.

This one is very light and ethereal; oozes femininity. I’m not much into the poufy look but Saab does poufy right because this dress is simply stunning.

I am in love with this dress. I think sleeves are a hard thing to make work on a wedding gown but this dress is fabulous. Some ladies don’t care for lace but I like the dainty look of it.

I love the details in this dress. It’s really intricate and interesting to look at.

It’s hard to choose a favorite but this one (Cassandra) takes the cake with me. It’s glamorous but still a little sexy with the long slit. If I looked half as good as this dame in it I would seriously consider splurging on it …and crossing my fingers that I get proposed to post haste.

Flowing and fabulous. Do they let you have fans at the alter? I’d insist on it with this yowza.

This one is called Pisces which just happens to be my sign thingy so I think it’s also a sign I should be having a wedding and sport this Elie Saab gown. A bit of a stretch I know, but I don’t care!
Let’s have a quick look at some of your favorite (and most hated) celebs rocking Saab creations:

Lastly, one last look at what we’re all here for; a fine looking wedding gown:

One thing I hate about wedding dresses is that there are so many options. Being as chronically indecisive as I am, I’d have a terrible time narrowing it down to just one. So are you mad for Elie Saab like me? What style of wedding dress did/would you wear?
